Put your interests first: Sign the petition for an Agreement at ONCALL

At these sessions we explained the benefits of Enterprise Bargaining as the basis for transparent and legally enforceable pay and conditions at ONCALL.
Conditions at ONCALL are rapidly deteriorating because the company can and do as it pleases in an unregulated environment and continue to demonstrate that it will do anything to cut costs in order to win a contract. However, it seems that the savings always seem to come from your pay.
Some of the problems at ONCALL:
- By now many of you may be aware of ONCALL’s practice of reducing your pay without announcement.
- If you query pay rates, they will not be confirmed in writing, preferring instead to tell you over the phone.
- When you check your remittances, you may find that you are currently receiving less than when you signed up.
- Victorian interpreters may notice that they no longer receive the 2018 minimum government set rates for all jobs as promised by ONCALL in 2018 and in fact, not even for some eligible jobs.
ONCALL has and will continue to show you that it doesn't value you or your work.
Translators and interpreters around Australia have told us that they are ready to stand up and fight back.
We are calling for an Enterprise Agreement for all T&Is who work for ONCALL. Collectively, we can build the power to negotiate together.

Because ONCALL formally refused to negotiate and in line with the lawful process under the Fair Work Act, TIA is running a
Majority Support Petition to demonstrate that the majority of ONCALL’s employees across Australia want to bargain for an Enterprise Agreement.
We understand that you need to work and that you have to follow the work. Keep working. While you remain an employee of ONCALL you can sign the
Majority Support Petition.
If enough translators and interpreters sign this petition, TIA will seek an Order from the Fair Work Commission that would lawfully compel ONCALL to bargain with you through your union. By signing the petition, you confirm that you want to bargain for an enterprise agreement at ONCALL.
